I create images of the sky and the earth.

What interests me is how we see them, what we see, and how it can be controlled, visually speaking.

I strive to find a balance between absolute quiet and utter chaos in my work.

Materials, both natural and man made, act as significant markers in the work and act as messengers of information to the viewer, as part of the unspoken narrative that happens between the work and the viewer. These materials have a voice of their own, which I choose to work with, and incorporate into the visual narrative I create in the form of a landscape. And why a landscape? I have always felt that traditional landscapes were for everyone, and kind of visually easy. This made landscapes (what we see around us and live in) the perfect entry point to viewing the manipulation and alteration of a traditional concept.
